Photo uploads for your Shopify contact form. Give customers a simple way to show you a damaged item, a product detail, or the context behind their question.
A photo tells the story
Proofdrop adds a photo uploader to your existing Shopify contact form through a theme app embed. Customers select JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Once the upload is ready, links to their photos are included with the contact message Shopify sends to you.
You can adjust the uploader’s labels, placement, colors, borders, spacing, and upload limits to suit your storefront.
Choose where photos go
Connect your Google account from Proofdrop. Uploads go to a private folder created by the app. Drive links require the connected account or another account you have granted access to. Customers do not need a Google account.
When Google Drive is not connected, uploads go to Shopify Files. These file URLs are public: anyone with the link may be able to view the photo. Use Google Drive when access needs to stay private.
Photo bytes pass through the app’s upload service to your storage. We do not persist customer image files in our own Cloudflare storage.
Limited Google permissions
Proofdrop requests drive.file to create and manage the files and folder used by the app, and Google’s email permission to identify the account you connected. It does not request access to your entire Drive, Gmail, contacts, or calendar.
When Google Drive is connected, new uploads use Drive. Your Google data and permissions are explained in the privacy policy.
Set up Proofdrop
- Install Proofdrop on your Shopify store when installation is available, then open the app in Shopify admin.
- Connect and confirm your Google Drive account if you want private storage.
- Set your labels, appearance, placement, and upload limits.
- Open your theme editor, enable the Photo uploads app embed, and save.
- Send a test contact message and check the photo links in the resulting email.

Review, delete, disconnect
The app lets you review cleanup for all tracked uploads or photos older than 30 or 90 days. Confirmed cleanup permanently deletes the selected app-uploaded photos from their storage provider. Existing links will stop working. Unrelated files are not selected for cleanup.
Disconnecting Google Drive removes the stored connection credentials; it does not delete your folder or photos. Uninstalling Proofdrop removes app-owned metadata and credentials, while files already in your storage remain under your control. See deletion instructions.
